The Big Topp’s Circus is coming to town! Join us at Clowning Around this summer for some circus fun and drama! You can book a place HERE
*We are sorry, all 120 spaces are full and we have a significant waiting list. We are keen to assess the level of interest in the club as it may be possible for us to offer a duplicate club in the afternoons next year to cope with the demand.
If you have come to the site hoping to book a place please fill in the form below to allow us to assess the level of interest and add you to our mailing list for Holiday Club 2017.
This year’s holiday club runs from Mon 1st- Fri 5th August 2016 from 10-noon each day at Dunfermline East Church. If you’ve been in p1-7 this last academic year then join us to find out..
- …what on earth those daft clowns Fred and Joey will be getting up to next….!
- ..will Nasty Nigel the Knife Thrower really take over the circus?
- …whether poor Poppy’s the Popcorn makers’ popcorn ever be edible?
- ….will YOU be custard pied?!
“Clowning Around” is a themed club, featuring comical drama characters, run by some brilliant volunteers from Dunfermline East and Dunfermline Free Churches to commend the Christian faith through a week of fun including challenges, drama, games and group competitions. There are 120 places at the club but children are split into smaller groups where there are 15 children of a similar age. They can request to be with a friend of a similar age.
*New this year Clowning Around is holding an all-ticket Circus themed Fun Day on Saturday 6th Aug from 10-1pm for children who attend holiday club and their family or friends. There’ll be inflatable fun, holiday club characters, crafts, hot dogs, candy floss, facepainting, circus photobooth, stalls and more! Tickets are £1 (Extra charge for snacks) but limited to 4 per family (extra tickets may be available by request, no ticket req’d for 0-2yrs). Further info and tickets will appear during the week of the club.
The club can be booked for any number of days HERE. The cost is £2 per day/£10 for the week and it’s payable on the first day your child attends.
We’re open to all children who have been in p1-7 in the academic year 2015-16 and places are allocated strictly on a first-come-first- served basis. Booking will open in June and when we are full, a waiting list system will operate.
Children should bring their own small snack and drink each day – no nuts, fizzy juice or glass bottles please.
By booking your child into the club you give permission for photos taken at the club to be used in future publicity. We don’t use children’s photos on Facebook or social media without express permission and we never name children in photos we do use. If you’d prefer no photos were used of your child do get in touch.
We adhere to legislation and recognised good practice in Child Protection.
If you’ve any queries or if your child has additional support needs, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone or text Andrew Morrice (minister of Dunfermline East Church) 07815 719 301.
